Browser Requirements

Internet Explorer, version 5.01 or higher (preferred); Netscape 6.0 or higher.

The Application

The SMDEP Web application allows you to register with the National Program Office and obtain a username and password. Upon successful registration, the applicants will be assigned an SMDEP I.D. number, which can be viewed in the online or printed application. Applicants must certify and submit the SMDEP application to enable their designated sites to view their application data. The successful certification and submission of the application and the receipt of all transcripts by the National Program Office, will instantly create a full record for the sites to review. The application will not be considered complete until all official transcripts are received.

Acceptance Procedures

SMDEP Program Sites are completely autonomous in making admission decisions. The SMDEP National Program Office has established guidelines regarding acceptance procedures for sites and applicants. SMDEP Program sites are expected to follow these guidelines.
