As part of your career development, it is helpful to continue seeking information about resources and programs related to medicine, dentistry, or other health professions. The following are a few online resources to consider:

Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC)
The AAMC Web site provides information for students interested in a career in medicine. The Web site includes information on factors to consider when contemplating a career in medicine and links for opportunities to participate in career fairs and enrichment programs. The Web site also provides links to the Medical College Admission Test, MCAT®, the medical school application, information about publications, such as the Medical School Admissions Requirements (MSAR), and other resources to help with the application process.

American Dental Education Association (ADEA)
The ADEA Web site provides information on careers in dentistry and applying to dental school. It includes links to publications and other resources specific to dentistry, including academic requirements for admission, key factors in deciding where to apply, and ways to finance your education.

AspiringDocs.org is a free online community designed to help you achieve your dream of becoming a doctor. Created by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), AspiringDocs.org provides you with the information, tools, and support you need to understand the medical school application and admission process, prepare for the MCAT®, apply for financial aid, appreciate the various medical career options available, and more.

ExploreHealthCareers.org
ExploreHealthCareers.org is a free, multi-disciplinary, interactive health careers Web site designed to explain the array of health professions to students seeking information about health careers. It includes links to health-related education/training programs, financial aid resources, specialized learning opportunities, and current issues in health care. ExploreHealthCareers.org is a joint initiative involving national foundations, professional associations, health career advisors, educational institutions, and college students.

National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP)
The NAAHP is an organization of over 900 health professions advisors at colleges and universities throughout the United States. The NAAHP Web site provides information about the role of health professions advisors and how to find an advisor, even if there is no advisor at your current undergraduate institution. It also includes links to summer and research programs and related publications.

Ventures Scholars Program
The Ventures Scholars Program is a national membership program designed to help underrepresented and first-generation college-bound students interested in pursuing math- and science-based careers find information, resources, and opportunities that will support them in successfully pursuing their career goals. The program collaborates with colleges, universities, professional associations, and organizations nationwide (VSP Partners) and offers a variety of tools to connect students to the partners' information, resources, and opportunities.

University of Michigan Profile For Success
Profiles For Success is an intensive DAT and MCAT preparation and skill-building program designed for 3rd and 4th year pre-dental and pre-medical college students and recent graduates. Application deadline: March 7, 2008.
